2025 Girl's Volleyball Program (2nd-12th Gr.) - Jan. thru Mar.

All activities for each program will be at the Knox County Career Center - Adult Education Building/Gymnasium. The address for this facility is 308 Martinsburg Rd., Mount Vernon, OH 43050.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Clinic, Low Impact, Middle School and High School Divisions will start the week of Jan. 6th.  Games, Practices and Clinics are played at the Knox County Career Center Gymnasium unless otherwise noted.

SPECIFIC LEAGUE INFORMATION:

CLINIC (2nd-3rd Grade) INFO:
What is it? The Clinic Program is once a week and meant to introduce 2nd-3rd grade players to the sport of volleyball. This eight-week program will involve a one-hour clinic on Saturdays (12:00p) which will incorporate drill stations to improve players' fundamental skills. The curriculum, which will be led by our Head Clinician, will incorporate some gameplay in later weeks to introduce players to team concepts.
Start Date: Saturday, January 11th
Final Clinic: Saturday, March1st
Clinic Day and Time:  
Once a week on Saturday Mornings for one hour starting at 12:00pm
Equipment Needed: Knee Pads and a water bottle. Please check with office/Parent Meeting to see sample jerseys for sizing.   
Celebration: TBD

LOW IMPACT (4th-6th Grade) INFO:
What is it? The Low Impact league is a skill development program for girls of all skill levels. Through weekly practice plans and games, our goal is that every player improve on their individual skills of the game as well as incorporate team elements with weekly games. Our practices will be led by coaches and facilitated by our Head Clinician Bekah Kalas.
Assessment Date:  The Week of Dec. 2nd - Days and Times TBD
Practice Day and Time:  Once a week on MONDAYS (We have Tuesdays and Thursdays as another possible days if league size requires more space) for 1 hour and 10 minExact Times TBD after evaluations
First Practice:  
Our first practice will be Monday, January 6 - Times will be listed on Team Rosters. After that, practices will be every Monday night (exception: Presidents Day and Martin Luther King Day there will be no Monday practices... we are seeking other possible options for practice days for these)
Final Game:
 Saturday, March 8th
Game Day and Times:  Once a week on Saturday mornings/early afternoons.
Equipment Needed: Knee Pads and a water bottle. Please check with office/Parent Meeting to see sample jerseys for sizing.   
Celebration: TBD 

JUNIOR HIGH (7th-8th Grade) INFO:
What it is?:
 The Jr. High League is a skill development program for girls in 7th-8th Grade. Through weekly practice plans and games, our goal is that every player improve on their individual skills of the game as well as incorporate team elements with weekly games.
Assessment Date: The Week of Dec. 4th - Days and Times TBD
Practice Day and Time:  Once a week on TUESDAYS (We have Mondays and Thursday as another possible day if league size requires more space) for 1 hour and 15 minExact Times TBD after evaluations
Start Date: Our first practice will be on Tuesday, January 7 - Times will be listed on Team Rosters. After that, practices will be every Tuesday night. Please bring a water bottle and wear knee pads to each practice.
Final Game: Saturday, March 8th
Game Day and Times:  
Once a week on Saturday Mornings/Early Afternoons. Exact Times TBD after evaluations

HIGH SCHOOL (9th-12th Grade) INFO:
What it is?:
 The High School League is a skill development program for girls in 7th-8th Grade. Through weekly practice plans and games, our goal is that every player improve on their individual skills of the game as well as incorporate team elements with weekly games.
Assessment Date: The Week of Dec. 4th - Days and Times TBD

**Disclaimer: Please note that fairness and positive competition are a high priority in our program.  Thus, our league leadership reserves the right to alter team rosters/move players in order to balance teams if necessary.    We reserve the right to change age division break-ups based on participation numbers, up to and including the first assessment date.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

The New Life Sports staff is committed to making the Youth Volleyball program a quality league that seeks to accommodate the needs of those who choose to participate.  That is because each individual matters to our league, to our staff and to our church.  This is the reason that the All Out Sports program allows parents the opportunity to write in certain requests/preferences.  However, due to the large number of requests that we receive each season, it is impossible for our staff to fulfill every request. Here is how the requests are prioritized:

1) Health Issues/Special Situations
2) Family
3) Carpool and Transportation
4) Preferences


NOTE: NO JEWELRY DURING PRACTICES OR GAMES, SHORTS AT LEAST FINGERTIP LENGTH, KNEE PADS ARE RECOMMENDED. SAMPLE JERSEYS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO TRY ON AT SKILL ASSESSMENTS AND AT NEW LIFE CHURCH MAIN DESK MON-THUR 9AM-3PM  STARTING NOV 1 UNTIL DEC 3, IN ORDER TO ASSIST YOU IN ORDERING CORRECT SIZE.  THERE WILL BE A REORDER FEE ASSESSED FOR ANY JERSEYS NEEDING TO BE RE-ORDERED AFTER DEC 15.

Meet Our Leaders

Director (MS/HS Coordinator): Maddie Eyler

Maddie is stepping into her first year as League Administrator with a wealth of coaching experience across various age groups in volleyball. She currently teaches 2nd grade at East Knox Elementary School and is excited to return to coaching, bringing her passion and expertise to young players. Maddie is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inspiring environment, blending foundational skills with personal growth and spiritual development for young girls in the league. Her enthusiasm and love for the game make her a valuable addition to the program!

Asst. Director (Low Impact Coordinator): Gwyn Sands

Gwyn is entering her first year as the Low Impact League Coordinator. A student at MVNU and a player on the JV volleyball team, Gwyn brings a deep passion for volleyball and a heart for mentorship. She’s thrilled to kick off the season and is eager to see how Jesus will work in the lives of the girls, both on and off the court. Her enthusiasm and dedication make her a wonderful leader for this role!

Program Administrator: Jaimie Davis

This is Jaimie’s first year as League Administrator, but she brings extensive experience with All Out Sports, including her work with the All Out SC Soccer program. Hired as our Assistant Sports Ministry Coordinator this past summer, Jaimie—a current MVNU student—has a strong sports background and a passion for youth engagement. She has enjoyed organizing league seasons and actively coaching in our afterschool programs, making her a fantastic addition to the team!
